Behind Terradìe

I first sat at the wheel in 2022, not long after becoming a mum and returning to work. Between being a wife, a mother, and a professional, I needed a space where I could quiet the noise, just me and the clay. Pottery became my cure for perfectionism and the overwhelm that so easily comes with it.

I’m from the beuatifu island of Sardinia and spent many years living in Tuscany before moving to Australia about ten years ago. What drew me to ceramics was the memory of terracotta and the warmth of Mediterranean evenings ; that grounded, earthy feeling of something made by hand and meant to be used.

Now I live in the Moreton Bay region, north of Brisbane, where I make small-batch pottery in a garden shed studio behind my house. It’s a simple space, filled with light, tools, and half-finished pieces.

I create functional ceramics , pieces that feel special but are sturdy enough for everyday life. A favourite mug, a plate you reach for without thinking, something that makes daily rituals a little slower and more beautiful.

Terradìe began as a creative balance to my fast-paced world, a reminder that simple things, made with care, are often the ones that last.
